Barranda Comercio Internacional Ltda. was created in August 1984 to develop export business for EXPRO Companhia de Comercio Exterior, subsidiary of XEROX do Brasil SA. EXPRO should fulfill the agreement with the brazilian government of export volumes to enable XEROX to import their needs. During a certain period Barranda, on top of its export activities, as export finance, export performance and effective exports, initiated its activities in representing foreign companies to the country. Basically these companies dealt with raw materials and equipments for metal processing. At that time the imports were very difficult since the import duties were too high. Only through the drawback system some business could be done. After a certain period of time Brazil started to adjust into the worldwide general policy for foreign trade and the globalization brought other opportunities where the two way trading re-started. Currently Barranda is an agent for several different high performance products for the metals processing industry. We represent prime quality companies from different countries to Brazil and South America. On the other hand we are selling brazilian metals products to geo-economic in the world.
